So far, there have been multiple reports about the chipset(s) that Samsung will use for the brand’s next lineup of non-foldable flagship phones, the Galaxy S26 series. Some claim that the company will use the Exynos 2600, some say that it will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and others say that the tech giant will use both SoCs, depending on the model and the market. Well, today, we have one more report on the matter.
According to a new report from ET News, Samsung will offer the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+ with the Exynos 2600 in most regions around the world, including Europe and Korea, and in other places, such as North American markets, the brand will offer the phones with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. As for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the tech giant is said to offer it with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 across the globe.
Reportedly, the Exynos 2600 offers satisfactory performance. However, its supply is limited due to the yield issues of Samsung Foundry’s 2nm fabrication process. As such, Samsung had to source chipsets for the Galaxy S26 lineup from Qualcomm as well (the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5).
The publication says that the Galaxy S26 models with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset will account for 70% of total shipments, whereas those with the Exynos 2600 SoC will account for 30% of shipments. Furthermore, it claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will account for 50% of Galaxy S26 lineup sales.
